Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more

-The Beatles, In My Life

Eric and Jessica are two Berklee trained musicians who met by chance in the admissions office. When college was done, they floated together, two true loves, through foreign waters on cruise ships serenading crowds. They moved to Nashville together to start a new life on land. After being together through thick and thin, a new challenge presented itself in the form of heartbreak. Jessica's dad was diagnosed with ALS and Frontotemporal Dementia and began deteriorating quickly.

Faced with the realization that they had to pull together a wedding quickly or that Jessica's dad would never walk her down the aisle, they turned to me, Homestead Manor and Modern Vintage Events. In the span of just two short months, we pulled off a day sure to inspire.

Jessica said to me the week before the wedding, "This is all for my dad. We just want my him to know how much he is loved. We have to show my dad past words that we love him as we are all together for one last time."

Surprisingly, I held my tears until after the ceremony- this is what I couldn't handle;

Jessica's parents were sitting off to the side at the reception and she knelt down between them. They started chatting and her sweet mom started crying. Though his mind was fogged with sickness, Jessica's dad knew just what to do.

He reached his frail hand out to brush away her tears.

I shot the moment, then ran outside because I couldn't hold the tears any longer. Becca from Modern Vintage gave me a big hug and said, "This is why we do what we do. These moments will never happen again."
